A Turkey Dinner

I try not to strut my own stuff like a proud turkey...that is, post just for the sake of promoting a product. But I just had to share this new interactive high-frequency book I made. (I showed it to my husband, but he was only mildly amused. Humf!) So here it is...a fun emergent reader that serves up a heaping helping of fine-motor skills and sight word practice.

First, introduce the words by putting the cards into a serving dish. Use a spoon to serve them onto students' plates.

Next have students punch, cut, glue and then write to complete the turkey's dinner.

  

 

After reading, have students use the word cards to create the book's phrases.
